Welcome, it's lovely to meet you!
Welcome to WorthwHyle Marketing, it's nice to meet you, virtually at least!
I’m Rebecca, the woman behind the orange logo. As this is my first blog I thought it would be good to introduce myself as well as my business...
I grew up in Thailand, went to university in Scotland, worked as a Costume Designer for film and TV in London and now I’m back in my hometown of Manchester doing freelance marketing, communications and branding as well as running my small retro pop culture business reconsideredRetro. I have three scruffy rescue toy poodles, Thor, Loki and Noah and after dating the first boy who really made me laugh in school, we decided that we liked each other enough to stick together for 20 years and counting.
I love climbing and can be found at my favourite climbing gym, Parthian Manchester most weeks as well as using my own home wall when the weather isn't grim! I love traveling and spend three weeks every winter driving round Scotland by myself which acts as my annual tonic. To help simplify these travels, I converted a clapped out old RAC van into a campervan and drove it all round the UK and Europe until it finally failed its MOT one too many times. At which point I had it craned over my house and into the back garden for me to use as an outdoor office. Something the neighbours still discuss years later. This van saved my sanity and instigated my, probably obvious, love of orange, but that's a longer story for another blog!
I’ve worked in marketing for nearly 14 years now (as of 2023) and have been lucky enough to create content for some amazing organisations and ground breaking projects in that time. I specialise in marketing, communications and branding for charities, cultural organisations and small businesses and founded WorthwHyle Marketing because I want to use my experience to help them reach a wider audience and increase their revenue. I also specifically wanted to offer a way of working that suits each individual and isn't a laborious or intrusive process. I loathe how frequently I see people falsely claiming to have a 'guaranteed' way of succeeding in marketing, then having the audacity to push their services in a way that can only be described as pond scum sales tactics. Ok, that's a bit of an extreme description but we've all been there... You sign up for a newsletter based on an interesting piece of information, only for your inbox to be flooded with enough Spam to feed an entire army. So, if after reading this you do want to find out more about my services I can promise that there will be no pushy sales, spam emails or a necessity to call ‘for a quick chat’.
I only work with a handful of clients at any one time. So, you can be sure of receiving a carefully considered and personalised service that can cover all aspects of marketing, communications and branding design. All of my services can be tailored to your requirements and budget so that we can work together to embrace and celebrate what makes you unique. From social media to websites and flyer brand guidelines to flyer design, I can help you share your story and make sure that you are reaching your audience in the best way.
So, whether you’re just starting out or you’d like a refresh, I’m here to work with you every step of the way to make sure that the whole process is as easy and stress-free as possible.
