Clients, July 2023
July has been a busy month for me and I’ve absolutely loved every minute of it, though I do need to get better at drawing a line between work time and downtime because I’ve found myself picking up my phone to check client’s social media notifications and emails at increasingly ludicrous hours of the day. I actually asked for some advice on this on LinkedIn and got some great responses. So, if anyone else is struggling with their phone usage too, check it out.
Also, I realise from the social media graphics I’ve included above that it looks very much like I foist orange as a brand colour on all of my clients. I promise I don’t! Both Lancaster Jazz and Big Imaginations had orange in their brand guidelines already, as do Z-arts actually too. I guess I’m not the only one who’s a fan of the colour. After all, as Frank Sinatra said… “Orange is the happiest colour.”
Anyway, I digress… back to my round up of clients including a very brief overview of the work that I have done for them.

Lancaster Jazz Festival
After creating a fully bespoke marketing strategy and social media suite for Lancaster Jazz earlier this year, I was thrilled that they asked me back to implement my recommendations in the run up to their annual music festival. There’s a lot to cram into a few short months, so I hit the ground running and designed social media graphics and started promoting their launch event straight away and got this lovely feedback after the first week! “Whoever is running the social media is doing an awesome job. There's some lovely content going out, and I particularly appreciate the creative way they're using last year's photos. It's what us photographers dream of when we shoot an event.” Ginny Koppenhol |
Big Imaginations
This month I continued my work with children’s theatre network, Big Imaginations and carried on managing their website and socials including writing news articles, listing shows, creating visual and written content and live social media engagement. I also designed an advert and press release for their artist networking event and made sure it was shared with key people online. |
Z-arts
After three months of wonderful, fun and simply joyous work with children’s events organisation, Z-arts my time with them came to an end. During my time there I covered every aspect of marketing, communications and branding including event promotion strategy, website maintenance, blog writing, event listings, creating visual and written content and live social media engagement. All rounded off with a 15-page strategic plan which I formatted and designed for their board of trustees and funders. “We can't thank Rebecca enough for her dedicated hard work and professional delivery! Rebecca is super friendly and has a wealth of experience across marketing and communications, including strategy. She gave our social media presence a new lease of life and took on our brand with pride! No task was too much to ask.” Helena Fewkes, Z-arts |
White Tiger Chronicles
Work continues on this book series promotion with July being very behind the scenes while I concentrate on the website build. Though I’ll soon be creating content to promote it online too, once the author sends over the images and text that I need… Naming no names Nigel! |
The Horsfall at 42nd Street
My permanent client, art gallery and creative space The Horsfall is part of the wider 42nd Street young persons mental health charity and regularly have incredible events, workshops and exhibitions. This month has been all about analysing their social media and looking at their branding ready for a brand redesign as well as a snazzy, spanking new website which I’m busy working on in the background. |
